CCF Kinderhilfswerk is an independent affiliate of the Christian =
Children's Fund (CCF), that has started operating in 1978 and is =
headquartered in N=FCrtingen (near Stuttgart). CCF Kinderhilfswerk =
currently supports disadvantaged children and families living in =
developing or transitional countries with no regard to gender, race, =
culture or religion. Via individual sponsorship, the agency funds =
projects responding to child and family immediate needs as well as =
ensuring the sustainable development of communities. These goals are =
achieved through the provision of basic services in the areas of =
nutrition, health, education, as well as community empowerment to allow =
for sustainable and independent solutions to be developed locally. =20
Location
The position will be based in Bonn. The Grant Fundraising Manager should =
be available for frequent travel, mainly to Brussels and Berlin, and for =
occasional short visits to CCF program countries.
Summary of position
Develop CCF Kinderhilfswerk funding base to include institutional donors =
as well as businesses and foundations. Governmental and multilateral =
donor fundraising (i.e. BMZ, EU), development of project proposals and =
reports, active follow-up of project progress. Responsible for securing =
additional funds for Africa and Central Europe development projects that =
are not funded via sponsorship fundraising.
Reports directly to the director of CCF Kinderhilfswerk.
Qualifications
Some years of experience in fundraising or marketing for a non-profit =
organization, demonstrated capacity to raise donor funding and manage =
matching grants. Knowledge of German and international project-financing =
institutions, assertive and communicative personnality, German =
mothertongue or equivalent, excellent oral and written English, good =
knowledge of an additional European language preferred.
Contracting period
Immediate opening for up to two years initially
Remuneration
Remuneration in line with qualifications. Employee status remuneration =
of approx. 3500 Euros/ month; full-time external contractor agreement =
possible.
