To Whom It May Concern:
My name is David A. Thompson and I will be participating in the Russian
Election Observation Study Trip with the International Discussion Club  This
will include observing, participating, and contributing in two elections;
first in Murmansk (Duma elections) and second in Moscow (also Duma
elections). I would greatly appreciate any information you could provide for
me concerning the following requests:
1.  In addition to the election observations I will be attempting to contact
and meet with several people while in Russia to discuss the possible
creation of Educational and/or Strategic Planning Seminars for the purpose
of identifying issues relating to Globalization.  More specifically I would
like to develop an Ad Hoc committee to plan these meetings and brainstorm
issues for discussion.  Some possible seminars might be: Government and
Religion/Non-Profits, International Business Policy and Ethics, Minority
Rights, and/or the Legitamacy of Normalized Global Ethics.
2.  I have been able to front most of the costs for this trip.  However, I
am naturally very interested in gaining some sponsors for this project.  I
would be more than happy to provide educational summaries and/or lectures
for these individuals, institutions, or businesses.  It goes without saying
that the education field leaves much to be desired where funds are
concerned.
