Accounting Supervisor
Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty broadcasts in 26 languages in Central and
Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East. We are currently
seeking to fill the position of Accounting Supervisor to supervise staff and to
be responsible for daily management of General Ledger, Accounts Payable,
Cashier?s Office, Travel Accounting and Expatriate Benefit Accounting. In
addition, he/she will assist with other accounting functions, as required. This
position will be based in Prague, Czech Republic.
Qualifications:
?    University degree in Business Administration or related field, or
equivalent combination of training and experience in one of these disciplines
?    Minimum 3 years practical accounting experience
?    Proven ability to work independently, to supervise staff and to work to
tight deadlines
?    Sound knowledge of computer accounting systems
?    Proven ability with PC applications, including MS Word and Excel
?    Fluent English required
?    Czech language skills strongly preferred
?    Previous experience with Czech accounting and reporting requirements highly
desired
?    Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with innovative
solutions
?    Ability to function effectively with people from widely different cultural
backgrounds
?    Knowledge of Russian or another of RFE/RL?s broadcast languages preferred,
but not essential
