American Councils, formerly ACTR/ACCELS, administers more than 20 exchange programs with the countries of the former Soviet Union.

Cross-Cultural Solutions claims to be "one of the leading international volunteer organizations in the United States and sends over 1,000 volunteers overseas every year." is a small non-profit network to support independent research on transformation
