[CivilSoc] Student Week in Florence

Dear Partners,
Romualdo del Bianco Foundation (http://www.fondazione-delbianco.org) and Odesa State Economics University organize international student workshop in Florence on "Vivahotels masterclass in Florentine hospitality" in the period from the 14th of November till 21st of November 2004.
The aim of the workshop:
  a.. To make students teams from different cultures acquainted with culture of other countries and give students chance to meet each other, as well as better understand each other; 
  b.. To give students the possibilities to participate in organization of the world tourism business;
Specification of works carried out during the workshop:
  a.. There will be 5 teams of students from 5 Eastern and Central Eauropean universities 6 students each. 
  b.. Before coming to Florence, students will make a survey of their local tourism business, accenting the attention on the Hotels Management System; 
  c.. Participants will meet in Florence on Monday, the 15th of November 2004, to present their surveys; 
  d.. On Monday the Director of Vivahotels (www.vivahotels.com) will make the presentation of the structure and management system of the holding; 
  e.. The students will be mixed to 6 international teams and be placed up to Friday to six objects: (Hotel Fleming, Hotel Alexander, Hotel Laurus, Hotel Pitti, Hotel Capitol and Vivahotels S.r.l.) where they will have a short stage in all fields of Hotel business; 
  f.. Each next day will start from the Lecture (Masterclass) of one of Hotels director on the specified topic (e.g. Organization of Restaurant business in the Hotel, Organization of Reception and Booking system, Organization of Cleaning System etc.). Later each international student team will be spending half of the day in their host Hotel, getting acquainted with management system of the Hotels and making surveys and notes about SWOT analyses of them and thinking on possible improvements; 
  g.. On Friday evening all 6 international teams will present their ideas about the improvements of each of the Hotels; 
  h.. One international team will be awarded as a winner;
As a general rule, each university must be represented by 1 Docent and at most 6 students; in a case of less number of universities the number of students participants must be the same for each university;
Foundation covers free overnight accommodation, room only; meals and travel expenditures are excluded. Additionally the Foundation covers free entrance tickets to the main Florentine museums and special fare for canteen services and hotel breakfasts.

The first requsts will have the preferences since the number of teams should not exceed 5 from 5 countries.
