Transatlantic Partners Against AIDS (TPAA) is seeking a Country Director to
manage its operations and programmatic activities in the Russian Federation.
The Country Director will also help identify and mobilize key Russian
business, political, and civic leaders in the fight against AIDS, as well as
serve as the chief liaison with TPAA Headquarters in New York. The ideal
candidate will have at least five years experience managing international
development projects and a masters or doctoral level degree in international
relations, public health, or a related field. Experience working with the
Russian State Duma, Federation Council, and/or other federal and regional
government officials, excellent cross-cultural skills and demonstrated
supervisory skills required. Demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly
in English and Russian are required. Familiarity with USAID and EU
procedures and experience in academic/policy writing, editing or publishing
preferred.
Transatlantic Partners Against AIDS (TPAA) is also seeking an Office Manager
for its Moscow Office. The Office Manager will be primarily responsible for
all operational matters, including basic financial and accounting systems.
The Office Manager will also be responsible for administrative and
information systems and day-to-day management of the Moscow Office,
including responding to general information requests, organizing the office,
making travel and visa arrangements, and coordinating meetings and events.
Applicants should have experience in basic information management, including
maintaining / adapting filing systems and electronic databases and financial
management accounts and other financial information (cash-flow,
income/expenditure ledgers). Work experience and/or familiarity with NGO
accounting processes strongly preferred. Ability to use standard MS Office
applications (esp. Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel), and familiarity with
electronic databases are required. Candidate must also have experience
organizing and coordinating events, meetings, travel arrangements, and visas
and the ability to prioritize work and work to deadlines. Demonstrated
ability to write and speak in English and Russian and ability to communicate
clearly required.
