ABOUT IREX: IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board) is the
premier US nonprofit organization specializing in higher education,
independent media, Internet development, and civil society programs in the
United States, Europe, Eurasia, the Near East, and Asia. 
Since its founding in 1968, IREX has supported over 15,000 students,
scholars, policymakers, business leaders, journalists, and other
professionals. IREX serves as a major resource for universities,
governments, and the corporate sector in understanding international
political, social, economic, and business developments.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: IREX seeks qualified American experts and graduate
students to serve as selection committee members for various international
student programs administered by IREX. The consultants will take part in the
selection process by reading, scoring and ranking applications submitted by
international citizens as well as possibly interviewing candidates overseas
for participation in these programs. 
IREX will provide a small honorarium to selection committee members. 
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidates should possess: 
*	US citizenship, currently residing in the US;
*	Expertise in or working with students from Eurasia, Europe, the Near
East, or Asia;
*	Experience working with at least one of the following: Universities,
nongovernmental organizations, think tanks, international development
agencies, governmental agencies, and/or private sector; and
*	Expertise in one or more of the following fields:
o	Agriculture
o	American Studies
o	Business Administration
 	and Development
o	Business/Community Relations
o	Business/Government Relations
o	Conflict Resolution
o	Computer Science
o	Corporate Charity Involvement
o	Corporate Communications
o	Criminal Justice
o	Economics
o	Education
o	Educational Policy and Administration
o	Election/Campaign Studies
o	Environmental Policy and Management
o	Ethics
o	Fundraising
o	Government Studies
o	International Relations
o	Journalism and Communications
o	Law
o	Management
o	Media
