Applicants are being sought for the position of Director of PAUCI. The
purpose of this trilateral USAID-funded grant program is to foster linkages
and strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Poland and to take advantage
of acquired expertise and lessons learned in Poland's successful transition
to free-market democracy. PAUCI (www.pauci.org) is administered by Freedom
House (www.freedomhouse.org), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that
promotes liberty and democracy throughout the world.
The ideal candidate will possess superior communication and management
skills, have excellent leadership capabilities, be results-oriented, be
conversant in either Ukrainian or Russian and Polish, and be a U.S. citizen.
Applicants should have at least five years of project management experience
in democratic development programs, including considerable experience in
grant-making. Experience in working with senior government officials is also
desired.
