SUMMARY OF POSITION:
IREX seeks a full-time Program Associate for its Partnerships and Training
Division in Washington, DC. The program associate will work on program
implementation for ECA-sponsored training programs including the Armenia
Teacher Training and Community Connections programs (Russia, Armenia,
Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan), including providing administrative support.
Duties will include:
� Assisting the PO in creating informational materials.
� Working with PO in developing and revising policies to improve
administrative and programmatic elements of the project.
� Assisting PO in reviewing expense reports, providing financial
oversight, and looking for ways to streamline the tracking and reporting of
financial information.
� Assist PO in writing and coordinating mid-program and final reports,
including collecting attachments, copying, binding etc.
� Maintain correspondence with field staff and program consultants.
� Arrange travel and coordinate logistics for program consultants and
program participants.
� Ensure that consultants' per diem, fees, reimbursement for travel or
other expenses are paid in a timely fashion, including preparing check
requests and mailing checks.
� Order and arrange shipping of program supplies and materials.
� Other tasks as appropriate and assigned by the Director and PO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be well organized, able to work independently, skilled at
handling multiple tasks, and able to adhere to deadlines. Other specific
qualifications should include at a minimum:
General Requirements:
� BA or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
� Knowledge of international programs, particularly related to the NIS
� Knowledge of computers and relevant software (MS Office Suite,
Excel, Powerpoint)
� Proficiency in Russian or other NIS language preferred;
� Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
