From: Gulshirin Annadurdyeva
To all whom it may concern:
I am the manager of UNDP InfoTuk project. As we enter the 21st century, we
recognize that the world is changing into a boundary-less global society,
and our capability to remain at the cutting edge of the policy debate hinges
on our capacity to understand trends and transfer that knowledge in ways
that are meaningful to those who make decisions. Our ability to cross
boundaries, both between countries and among traditional disciplines,
pervades all our activities and enables us to undertake even the most
difficult issues. We deliberately organize our activities through
multi-disciplinary and trans-national approaches to promote cooperative
strategic thinking among leaders of different fields and to provide a
variety of settings at which they can candidly discuss mutual concerns.
Turkmenistan is the Independent and neutral country in the Central Asia. It
is one of the republics of ex-Soviet Union. This project is the first
attempt to reduce the gap between the developed and developing worlds. Our
country needs in technological development.
Our project is recently started to work and it is UNDP project that provides
institutional capacity building for the dissemination and sharing of
development information in Turkmenistan. One year of activities has already
been committed by UNDP. In its first year, InfoTuk will focus on :
* Capacity building, including public awareness raising, training in digital
information management for key information providers, and training of users;
* Establish Internet training centre for students, children and teachers
find and use the information they need. They will be tough on information
communicaion technilogies and use of e-mail.
* Limited support to connectivity, filling-up debilitating gaps with the
most needing stakeholders, and for a limited duration with build-in phasing
out. Provide access to computer and Internet.
With the initial UNDP funds, InfoTuk has sufficient resources to establish
the institutional framework for project implementation, and initiate the
three-fold strategy aimed at a range of health, development, education,
enviroment stakeholders in Turkmenistan.
It is within the above framework that the current proposal is prepared.
Additional funding it sought to allow the InfoTuk project, during the first
year of implementation, to undertake a similar three-fold strategy and
related activities (content building, capacity building, and connectivity),
but with an additional focus on activities relative to HIV/AIDS and
Environment issues.
If you are interested in our project. Please free contact me. I will give
you all information.
We are looking for the cooperation with everybody.
We are looking for the interesting ideas.
We are looking for the donor to contunue our good job.
Best regards,
Ms. Gulshirin Annadurdyev
InfoTuk Project Manager
