The Eurasia Foundation, a nonprofit grant making foundation supporting the
NIS, seeks a program assistant for its Washington, DC headquarters office.
The Program Assistant (1) provides administrative support to the Washington
office program staff, (2) coordinates the grant file information flow in
Washington, (3) conducts research, reviews inquires and meets with potential
grantees.  
Applicants should possess a college degree, preferably in a relevant field
such as economics, political science, international affairs, or area
studies.   Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to
handle multiple tasks are required. Computer skills, including word
processing, databases, Internet, and spreadsheets, are required. Fluency in
written and spoken English is required.  Work or study experience in the NIS
is desirable. Knowledge of Russian is desirable.
Salary commensurate with experience, good benefits.
