World Affairs Council of Oregon
The Program Coordinator is a vital member of the 3-person International =
Training Department within the World Affairs Council of Oregon and is =
involved primarily in administering Community Connections, a federally =
funded program to bring promising professionals from the NIS to Oregon =
for 3-5 week training and internship programs.
Responsibilities include:
Arranging home hosting and communicating with host families
Researching community resources
Arranging business internships
Organizing training seminars
Organizing excursions and cultural activities
Writing schedules and itineraries
Corresponding with community contacts and visitors
Transporting visitors to appointments
Assisting Director in writing reports and grants
Maintaining database
Maintaining Cost Share Log
Communicating with State Department and overseas staff
Assisting with other Council projects as needed

Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Interest in international affairs / cultural exchange
Good computer skills (Word, Access)
Good organizational skills
Valid driver's license
Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
Russian language competence highly desirable
Bachelor's degree plus work experience
Salary: $18,000 - $24,000 per year ($9-12 per hour; part time or full =
time) depending on experience. Yearly renewal subject to grant =
approval.
