[CivilSoc] Half of Minsk Citizens Expect Fraudulent Elections

Belarus will hold presidential elections on September 9, 2001.
According to the Charter'97 BELARUS NEWS UPDATE of August 24, 2001, a
majority of residents of the capital expect rigged elections. For

51% Minskers Forecast Rigged Elections
Fifty-one percent of the 500 Minskers polled by BelaPAN between
August 14 and 17 expected Belarus, presidential election to be rigged
as compared to 53 percent in a similar poll in mid-July.
Forty-seven percent expected September election outcomes to be
fabricated by the government, and four percent by the opposition.
Twenty-two percent of the respondents did not expect the election to
be forfeited, up from 16 percent in July. Twenty-seven percent
checked "Difficult to say", down from 31 percent in July.
