Dear friends,
Please help us stop bullfights scheduled for September 7, 8 and 9, 2001 in
Yerevan, Armenia, as a part of the celebrations of the 1700 anniversary of
Christianity in Armenia.
Animals are sentient beings just like us. A bullfight is a horrific show,
where bulls and horses are tortured only for the entertainment of people
without any compassion for animals. It's a show that teaches people to hurt
and disrespect animals.
Who does not respect an animal cannot respect fellow humans.
Please help us make a better world without violence, a world where humans
and animals can co-exist in peace without any harm done to them.
Please write or call Armenian Ambassador to Georgia and/or government
officials in Armenia, and express your indignation about the upcoming
bullfight. You can use the following sample letter in Russian.
